GAA with a twist
This year instead of doing a musical we decided to take part in a variety show. We decided to base it on the Gaa although this idea seemed a bit boring at the start, we brought it all to life with our own ideas and tweaks. Our variety show was put together by our music teacher Miss Coyle and Mr Coughlan. They done an amazing job the show looked like it was directed by a professional.
The show was creeping up quite quick and we had to get this negativity out of our systems. we decided to all give it our best shot what's the worst that could happen? We had two weeks left to go and we thought there is no hope that we can pull this show together. It was looking like a mess. We spent days practicing and about 2 days before it was looking like a real show.
We got dance lessons, Music lessons and Acting lessons. The dancing was my personal favourite, it was like a work out at the same time. I could see our glass improving each week as it finally pulled together.
Overall the show was a huge success. I really enjoyed the whole experience. As we were waiting backstage for our queue I could feel the nerves in the air. Its a Experience that I will never forget.
